Obituary for Calvin Albert Robertson

BRADLEY - Calvin Albert “Cal” Robertson Sr., 82, died September 22, 2015 at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 9, 1933 in Eddington, son of Frederick Ernest and Louise Jenny (Thereau) Robertson.

Cal was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and had been employed at Eastern Fine Paper Co. in Brewer. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed Friday Coffee outings with his brothers and sharing stories about how life used to be. One of his favorite pastime activities was to scratch off lottery tickets and he also was an avid baseball fan, especially the Boston Red Sox. Cal was a member of the North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 0007, Rochester, NH.

Surviving are one daughter, Lorraine Briggs and her husband, Joseph of North Berwick; two sons, Calvin A. Robertson Jr. and Tracy L. Robertson, both of Lebanon; ten grandchildren; two step-daughters, Shirley Britch of Vermont and Connie Frye of Eddington; nine step-grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen R. Wood of Eddington; two brothers, Frederick L. Robertson of Bangor and Philip D. Robertson of Eddington; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Arnold and Edward.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church, 31 Main Road, Eddington with the Rev. Kate Nicol, pastor, officiating.
