OLD TOWN - Christy Deal, 54, died in Orono August 25, 2015 following a very
long illness. She was born March 4, 1961 in Laredo, Texas.
She grew up in Europe, in England, Spain, Germany and Italy, and graduated from AFCENT American High School in Brunssum, The Netherlands in 1979. She is a graduate of the University of Maine. Prior to her illness she was a bilingual elementary school teacher in Laredo and in San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by her parents, Col Ken and Elisa Deal of Old Town and Williamsburg, VA; her brother Col Ken, Jr and Melanie Deal and daughters, Lauren and Kate of Manassas, VA; and her sister Rebecca and Cdr Mike Bryant of Virginia Beach, VA and daughters, Anaelisa Bryant of Reston, VA, and Micheala Van Clief and husband Thomas, of Schyler, VA. She was predeceased by her brother Lt William Deal.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 12 noon Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Parish, 429 Main Street, Old Town. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Orono. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
