Charlotte Arlene  Lile
Etna – Charlotte A. Lile, 77, died surrounded by family July 25, 2015 at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 19, 1938, in Dedham, MA, the daughter of Joseph and Mable (Turner) Calhoun.

Charlotte was a devout Catholic who was known for her hand-crocheted afghans and prayer shawls. She was an avid computer gamer, her favorites being Nancy Drew and Farmville. Charlotte was a parishioner at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church in Bangor. She also belonged to Our Lady of the Snows Third-Order Carmelites, Daughters of the American Revolution, in Exeter, NH, Alden Kindred of America, and the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Ronald C. Lile on March 13, 2001; and son William Lile on June 22, 1962. She is survived by three children, Karen Lile Asselin of Exeter, NH, David Ronald Lile of South Korea, and Jennifer Lile Draper of Etna; two grandchildren, Catherine Alice Draper and Samuel George Draper, both of Etna; three siblings Ella Black of Sandwich, MA, Ann Karr of Arco, Idaho, and John Paul Calhoun of Homossasa, FL.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York Street, Bangor on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 11 AM. Rite of committal will be beside her husband will be 10 AM, Thursday July 30 at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, 305 Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
