Obituary for Anita Marie Chambers

Anita Marie  Chambers
Monson – Anita M. Chambers, 76, died after a brief illness May 24, 2015 surrounded by her family at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born January 22, 1939, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Emile J. and Roseanne (Garneault) Ouellette.

Anita married Roger Chambers in 1960 and together they raised their family. They had spent 42 years together when Roger died in November of 2002. She was known for her hospitality, and loved making coffee for her neighbors and friends. Anita was a very outgoing person; enjoyed working in her garden, and she loved her dogs.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Bertrand, Roger, Albert, and Clovis Ouellette; and a sister, Gloria McCready. Anita is survived by her fiancée Malcolm Melia; children Roger Chambers, Jr. and wife Cheryl, Vincent Chambers and wife Dorothy, Vanessa Chambers, Emmarose Noel and husband Mark, Daniel chambers and wife Kathy, Lisa Wayne and husband James, and Jason Chambers and wife Melissa; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and several friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday May 28, 2015, at Brookings-Smith, 13 Center St., Bangor where a Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held 9 a.m. Friday, May 29. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
