Obituary for William Franklin Green, Jr.
William F. “Bill” Green, 53, passed away November 5, 2014 in Hudson. He was born in Bangor, December 17, 1960, the son of William F. Sr. and Betty Ann (Braley) Green.
Bill graduated from Bangor schools. He worked on roofing jobs for many years as well as working for his good friend, John Thomas, in the catering business. He also cooked for the University of Maine, where he was employed up until recently.
Bill is survived by his wife, Linda (Gerow) Green; father, William F. Green, Sr.; children, Korin Green, Willie Sargent and Kristi Sargent; grandchildren, Brandon, Brady, Gianna, Peyton, Bailey, Cassie, Keaton, Teagan, Talon and Korinna; sisters, Beth King and her husband, John, and Sheryl Bassett; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Green, and his brother-in-law, Peter Bassett.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5 pm – 7 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor, where a service will be held 11 am, November 10, 2014. Those who wish to remember Bill in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Cancer Care of Maine, c/o EMHS Foundation, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931.
