Obituary for Elliot Charles Dorr

Glenburn - Elliot C. Dorr, 73, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Elliot was born in Jonesboro September 24, 1941, the son of Charles G. and Mildred K. (Cox) Dorr.

After an honorable discharge from the U. S. Air Force, Elliot held several various jobs, including working at Snow & Nealley, Pine Tree Waste, and driving a bus for handicapped students for John T. Cyr. When he wasn’t at work he loved to hunt and fish.

Elliot is survived by his wife, Reta; his children Renee Dorr and her significant other Robert Stevens, and Michelle Lane; stepchildren Juanita Rowell, Jo Grant, and Heather Bennett and her spouse Douglas; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a brother, David Dorr; and a sister Marjorie Gaudette and husband Angus. In addition to his parents Elliot was predeceased by several siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services at 10:00A.M, Monday, October 27 followed by military honors at the Lakeview Cemetery in Glenburn with Tim Curtis, chaplain with Hospice of Eastern Maine officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service at Reta’s home, 185 Marston Meadow Road, Glenburn.
