Obituary for Barbara Anne Davis

BANGOR – Barbara Anne Davis, 70, died August 11, 2014 at a local hospital. She was born May 11, 1944 in Bangor, daughter of Albert J. and Freda A. (Wade) Blackman.

Barbara was a graduate of Brewer High School and employed at the former Penobscot Savings Bank, Bangor as a Customer Service Representative for many years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking, especially whoopie pies. She was a member of the Brewer Eagles Club.

Surviving are her husband, James “Jim” Davis of Bangor; one daughter, Heidi Moir of Levant; two grandchildren, Ariel Thompson and Zander Moir; three step-daughters, Renee, Danielle and Michelle; several step-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Blackman; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by two sisters, Elaine Higgins and Alice Matson; one brother, James Blackman.

A memorial service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held 1pm Friday, August 15, 2014 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor.
