Gordon M. Hilton, Sr.
Bangor
Gordon M. Hilton. Sr., 78, went to his eternal rest July 31, 2014. He was born August 7, 1935 in Waldoboro, son of Floyd and Kathleen (Barton) Hilton. Gordon graduated from high school in California then served in the US Air Force for four years.
He was employed with Standard Shoe Store for 25 ½ years, until there closing. He then went to work at the Bangor Mall for 13 years.
Gordon was a member of the Salvation Army of Bangor.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Lorraine; four children, Richard McGouldrick of Bangor; Debra Hilton-Ford and her husband Lowell of FL.; Lillian Elston of Springfield, MO; Gordon Hilton, Jr. of Bangor
Five grandchildren, Richard, Jr., Travis, Tracy, Joseph and Chelsea; two great grandchildren, Damen and Finn.
Funeral services will be held 6 pm. Monday, August 4, 2014 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor, with Capt. Timothy Clark, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home, 5 pm. until time of service, Monday. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Salvation Army, 65 South Park St., Bangor, 04401.
