Obituary for Hazel Mary Fowler
Bangor & Orrington - Hazel Mary Fowler, 88, passed away peacefully July 30, 2014, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born October 25, 1925, in Orono the daughter of Jesse and May (Bouchard) Oliver.
Hazel raised her family in Orrington and enjoyed her gardens and flowers. She was a member of the Orrington Garden Club. There are great memories of the many camping trips the family made over the years. Hazel enjoyed crochet and needle work. She was a member of St. Teresa’s and St. John’s Catholic Church throughout her life.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Fowler of Linneus, Michael Fowler and wife Lori of Brewer, Bruce Fowler and wife Roz of Norman, OK, Mary Dion and fiancé Scott Weaver of Monroe, Andy Fowler and wife Traci of Dover-Foxcroft; grandchildren, Deanna, Danny, Amy, Kevin, Kurt, Joe, Arthur, Josey; two great grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew. She was predeceased by her loving husband Francis H. Fowler in 2000.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1 PM, Monday, August 4, at Riverside Cemetery, Bennoch Road, Orono. Contributions may be sent to the Maine Veteran’s Home, 44 Hogan Road, Bangor, ME 04401. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
