Obituary for Michael Ira Miller

HAMPDEN & ORRINGTON – Michael I. Miller, 40, died Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was born April 29, 1974, in Millinocket, the son of Maynard and Rena (Theriault) Miller. Michael grew up in Hampden and graduated from Hampden Academy in 1993. Anyone who knew Michael knows he was a true handyman who could fix, build or install anything. He loved fishing, woodworking, snowmobiling, camping, and motorcycling, but above all his greatest joy & passion was his family. Michael also had a soft heart for animals & shared a very special bond with his dog “Bailey.” In addition to his parents of Hampden, he leaves behind his wife Linnea (Levesque) Miller, two children, Lexie and Colby Miller all of Orrington, a brother John Miller and his wife Michelle of Hampden, father-in-law Dave Levesque and his wife Anissa of Caribou, mother-in-law Darlene Levesque of Ohio, brother-in-law Mike Levesque and sister-in-law Kassy Belk both of Caribou. He also will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews; Spencer & Casey Miller of Hampden, Michaela, Chelsea, Alex, Caleb & Cameron Levesque all of Caribou. Friends may call 6-8 PM Wednesday July 23, 2014 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St. Brewer. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Thursday at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Matthews Catholic Church 70 Western Ave. Hampden. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites friends and family to share conversation and refreshments at the church fellowship hall following the committal. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Orrington Fire Dept., Penobscot County Sheriff, Bangor Fire Dept., Hampden Police Dept., Down East Emergency Management Institute, and to Julie Jones and her search dog Quincey.
